Local Rules & Etiquette

These rules are in place for the benifit of all members, and must be observed at all times:

Local Rules

  1. Out Of Bounds
    The ball is out of bounds over the boundry fence (06-10-11-18)
  2. Water Hazards
    The pond behind the 4th green, and the swamp area left of the 5th fairway are water hazards. All drainage channels are water or lateral hazards.
  3. Relief Without Penalty
    A free drop may be taken under the following circumstances:
    1. Where a stone interferes with a players stance or swing, on the cut part of the course
    2. Embedded ball on part of the course
    3. When the ball lies in a tractor mark on any part of the course
    4. All roads and paths are immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2 to apply)
    5. Hoof marks and dung caused by horses and cattle are an "Abnormal Ground Condition'. Relief is available under Rule 25. NOTE: interference to the players stance is not of itself interference under this rule.
    6. All Stakes and newly planted trees (Rule 24-2 to apply)

  4. Overhead Cables
    If a players ball strikes any overhead cable it MUST be replayed
  5. Preferred Lies
    Prefered lies may only be taken when stated on the club notice board

Etiquette

  1. Single Players have no standing on the course
  2. Players looking for a lost ball, or failing to keep their place on the course having lost one clear hole, MUST invite the following players through
  3. Players MUST repair all divots and pitch marks
  4. In taking practice swings, players should avoid causing damage to the course, particularly the tees, by taking divots.

Standard Of Dress

Members and guests are reminded that club rule 26, regarding dress on the course and in the clubhouse, must be observed at all times.
